EMERGEGENCY DEPARTMENT / CASUALTY:

Our ER room operates 24/7 with a team of highly skilled multidisciplinary health care professionals including emergency physicians, intensive nurses and specialists who are well trained in providing prompt attention to the diverse range of urgent health care needs, triaging them, swift prioritizing the critically ill and provide the best comprehensive care.

Under one roof we have a state of art facilities in the form of fully equipped Ambulance with skilled paramedical staffs, trauma doctors, a separate accident bay supported by 24/7 CT and MRI facilities, advanced medical technology and diagnostic tools like dedicated pocus ultrasound machine, point of care equipment for cardiac markers , blood gas analysis machine and backed up with emergency operation theatres.

CRITICAL CARE UNIT:

Our CCU is a highly regulated department with a team of dedicated multidisciplinary and interprofessional specialities with well-trained intensive nurses, respiratory therapists, physiotherapists, and nutritional therapist dedicated to provide comprehensive and continuous expert care.

We are skilled in managing cardiac emergencies, respiratory failures, neurological emergencies, trauma cases, post-surgical complications, post-transplant Renal and Hepatic cases.

Our department prioritizes in continuous close monitoring of a patient with either non-invasive/ invasive equipment. We have a high range of advanced respiratory supports from high flow nasal oxygen, BiPAP machines to conventional / non-conventional mechanical ventilators and ECMO. Hemodynamic monitoring from invasive cardiac monitoring, cardiac temporary pacemakers to invasive cardiac mechanical support with intra-arterial balloon pump and ECMO. Renal support in the form of Intermittent haemodialysis / Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy.

Communication among the specialists is streamlined to address dynamic situations and make real time decisions. Family is involved and clear empathetic communication is given in every crucial development.

Our team operates 24/7, emphasizing the critical nature of its service and hence engaging in quality improvement, research and continuous educating and training given to the staffs , Duty doctors and MEM trainees to keep them updated about latest medical advancement and ensuring they provide evidence based care.

As a socially responsible Health care organization, We a offer MEM programme associated with Society of Emergency Medicine in India (SEMI). Trainees are exposed to all emergency cases and help them in managing emergency cases under supervision of a senior faculty. Billroth hospital in addition to conducting regular CMEs, is also conducting Workshops on Trauma and Emergency periodically- hosted by Billroth Trauma and Emergency Network (BTEN). This is to provide hands-on training on best practices in trauma and emergency care. Educate Emergency consultants and Duty Doctors from various hospitals on essential protocols and procedures to be followed during critical situations.
